Greetings & salutations my dearest reader(s)! I believe we covered all things "February 2017", so now onto March!
Since I have not been doing well with keeping up, I have decided to knock-off 2 birds with this post...so please, let's review:
March 2017 vs. March 2018
In retrospect, March of 2017 was a big month full of small "firsts" - last March, OG:
-Drove her first car
-Played with friends
-Forced Asked momma to draw a bunch of her "friends" (and I am NO artist)
-Danced in the rain with her new umbrella (which we now cannot find)
-Tried her first bite of quesadilla (or pan de queso, aka: a delicious pound cake that somehow has cheese in it and is topped with sesame seeds)
-Had some impromptu photo shoots
-Won the very official (per Mimi) "Best Nap Taker Ever Award"
Here is the photographic evidence!
A little bit of dinner post drive at/with the H's
Yes, be very afraid...I drew, with my own incapable hands, these terrifying renditions of beloved cartoons.
OG decided to stuff Grandma's pockets with "friends" while grandma made dinner LOL
Impromptu photo shoot in Gma & Gpa's yard <3
First side ponytail! (Maybe not, but I just love this picture)
My tiny homeless pal (not really, but I love this bag-lady chic look) <3
FIRST BITE OF QUESADILLA! OG loved it!
Silly faces with momma
Party gal in her party dress
<3
Impromptu photo shoot at Auntie C's
Getting the mail (and dancing) in the rain with Dedi
~~~~~~~TIME WARP~~~~~~
Now, THIS March (2018) has been slightly less..."exciting"...fewer firsts...but also, it's not over yet! We're only half way through! It has time!
And it's crazy to see how much my tiny OG has grown.
Momma's "working from home" day turned into a gal's day with nail painting.
(I was on my lunch break, in case anyone is having a moral dilemma)
I want to eat her tiny hands.
So, if anyone needs their nail done, I know a girl...
Then, we went to our pal, Charles Rufus', 5th birthday party! OG loved the play land and cake, but momma loved the bathroom - a real sized potty and sink in the same room as the tiny potty/sink! It's the little things... #momjokes
SIDE NOTE: I just remembered that the title of this blog requires me to discuss fashion in the world of youngsters, so please note that OG was wearing momma's owl necklace (that she picked out specifically for the party) with a shirt and pants. :P
Oh, also, OG is potty trained now! #winformom
The title of this piece is: Working Girl
Come to think of it, she did have some firsts this month: ...HER FIRST TATOO(s)! She picked them out herself - a hot dog and a cheese burger BAHAHAHA
And OG went to her first dentist apt!
And played her first air piano (along to Tori Amos <3) - video compliments of Mimi
**UPDATED** because the last week of March ended up being CRAZY FUN! See below:
STROMTROOPER OG
Making donations with Mimi <3
Roller Skating Rink Treasures: Acquired
We saw Peter Rabbit in the theater, but OG lost her mind when she saw "Chewy Poster"
Awee let OG borrow her "Carl Hat"
These two haven't seen each other in a while and the first thing they do is sneak off to the bar to get a drink -
I wonder which one is the bad influence... ;)
*no toddlers consumed alcohol or were harmed during these hijinx*
More fun with D-man
They collectively lost. their. minds. #friendshipgoals
Coloring Easter eggs with Charlie Rue!
They are quite the posse
I am shocked OG didn't try to wear the helmet home...
Also in early December, OG, dada and I met up with Ms. Chaundre for a late birthday/early Christmas sushi lunch...and an impromptu Star Wars party-turned-battle ensued!
Leave it to Ms. Chaundre to bring all sorts of fun stuff wherever she goes! Had we known, we could have rocked some SW gear ourselves. However...
OG wore:
-$5 graphic sweatshirt with rainbow heart (Target)
-Pencil pants
-Too much excitement for one young Padawan to contain
The usual "Here, take a picture with momma!" shot :) I'm needy hehe
The face when you realize the lightsaber chopstick LIGHTS UP TOO!
Dada's belated b-day Wookie Coozy
Family <3
A battle is WAGED!
And now I shall leave you with a cliff-hanger. Who won the battle? Was the sushi delicious? Did we all walk down to Family Dollar after lunch? YOU MAY NEVER KNOW!
**ALERT***ALERT**
!!!This post is out of chronological sequence!!!
I thought I had posted about this, but apparently not...derp. Spoilers: it was one of the highlights of our year.
<<Rewind.
[ ] Stop.
> Play.
SETTING: A crisp and windy morning in early October.
We took a (long overdue) road trip to see the Taulbouts! With our kiddos being due-date twins, they are very close in age (10 days apart, to be exact) and it's fun to see them interact with one another. Or not interact, as I should more accurately describe. More like: they did lots of fun things by themselves in close proximity of one another.
Either way, it was a lot of fun.
OG decided to wear:
-Owly T-shirt Dress (with fall colors)
-Black Leggins
-(p)Leather Jacket
-A Fun Halloween Bow
-Spiderman Shoes
First stop: The pumpkin patch!
OG inspecting the biggest pumpkin she has ever seen
She really wanted to jump on The Jumpy Thing for Big Kids...
...but luckily we found The Jumpy Thing for Little Kids! :)
She could have stayed on that thing all day.
Bada$$ Betty over here on the train! Rebel with a Cause! :)
Dada being silly <3
Looking at more pumpkins - and look! Declan is in the background!
After the farm, we went back to Mr. D's house to napnap/play with all of his toys...
And ended up watching Mickey and Little Einsteins...
Look at them playing so well near each other!
Watching goths dance to the Little Einsteins intro song...yes, really.
The parents started talking YouTube videos/remixes of kids shows, so we had to...
see the confusion on their tiny faces?!
BUBBLE MACHINE!!!
I don't think that works the way you think it works... :)
Declan showing and telling us about his favorite tree - with his Momma and Mr. Sampson in the background.
There was only one group shot taken the entire time we were there, and that was in a dimly lit bar/restaurant. And, in the 3 shots our waitress so thoughtfully took (in the hopes that "one of them might turn out"), they were all terrible. Terrible. Not the "Ew, I look so gross, guys! But you look cute..." kind of way, but in the "Are these human creatures or aliens? What IS this? Should we call Weekly World News?!" kind of way. So, I have taken the liberty of correcting it so that it can be posted on the internet:
What a fine looking group!
Thanks again for having us down for the day! We had SO much fun, and love you guys! xoxox
