Christmas in NOT July, thankyouverymuch

Hello again, dedicated reader(s)! AHA!  I'm finally getting around to covering Christmas...I mean, hey, it's only March #nobigdeal.

I had written a long paragraph on my feelings about and history with Christmas, but meh...no one is here for that (also, I think I posted the same type of rambling last Christmas).  Let me just say that I never truly loved Christmas or the holiday season until I had a nugget and was able to experience it with her.

Moving on to the part you all actually CARE about:  show me that toddler!

Rewinding back to early December, we took OG to the local mall to meet and greet the one-and-only Santa!  As you may recall, last year was a mess. No one was happy.  If you don't recall this was the BEST shot they got:

Luckily, this year was MUCH better!  OG was still shy, so she did run away on the first attempt. Then, after a short walk around the mall (and purchasing some Tsum Tsum stickers as an incentive), we approached again and she agreed to sit on Santa's lap.

Santa's unwitting helper, OG, wore:
-Black & Red striped dress (Meijer?)
-Black leggins
-Red sequined headband
-The coolest toddler army boots ever...they are a total OUTFIT ENVY moment!

OG sharing her stickers with Santa
No smile, but no tears either.  And at least Santa is smiling in this one! We'll take it!

After a successful Santa visit, we were driving home and OG happened to get a *bit* carried away with her new stickers...

Intense session of "let' stack all of the stickers on one hand"

Now onto "let's peel them off one-by-one and stick them..."

"...all over my legs and seat!"

Then: CHRISTMAS EVE!  As always, we spent the evening before Christmas at Dedi's house - celebrating with family!

OG wore her Christmas dress again.  No judgement.

The antlers strike again!

What a cool ladybaby...

Momma and Dedi in their holiday finest! The "Christmas Mink" and Antlers.

The whole gang playing "The Wrights" - family edition

Mike won an earwax candle kit! hahaha Look at the joy on his face!

Playing "Shut Yo'Mouth"

Fact: No one looks more beautiful than when playing "Shut Yo' Mouth"
We spent the wee hours of Christmas morning at our house, opening gifts.

OG Wore:
-Her 2017 Christmas jammies (flannel pjs with cute deer and whatnot)

SANTA BROUGHT A TRAMPOLINE!!!
OG loved it, of course!

Here's a clip of the action!

Then, off to Dedi's for brunch and gifts with the Wolfslers!

Family Portrait - en route!

Family Portrait #2 - "You guys are embarrassing me"

Dedi and OG opening gifts

Awee & EG opening their stuff - not paying attention to the fact that I'm taking pictures

Dada was SO thrilled to get a Justice box - haha

Next stop: Grandma & Grandpa's house! I think we were all a bit sleepy at this point, so I didn't get many pictures. #mommafail

New art table and art supplies!

Weee!  Thanks, Grandma & Grandpa!

And finally, a post-Christmas walk checking out the local lights...

"Treeeeeeeee!": A Pre-Christmas-Post Post

One thing we learned confirmed this year: OG loves a tree.  Any tree, really, but when trees began popping up in everyone's houses for the holiday season, she LOST. IT.  She even sang a little ear-drum-bursting song about them (you have been warned):

Therefore, I have decided to dedicate this post to the trees in her life this past Christmas...and there were a few!

Setting up Dedi's tree was good times...

OG wore:
-Space PJs
-A gold chain (??)

OG is focused on the train; Awee can't be bothered (hehe)

<3

Things started getting a bit goofy when the antlers came out!

One of my favorite pictures ever <3

Then, that same week, she saw Grandma & Grandpa's tree.  She was mesmerized.

And last but not least, we finally got our act together and put up our tree. #weareprocrastinators

OG was only a little jazzed about it... :)

And - the antler tradition goes WAY back. Here is a picture of Awee and EG as little tiny people rocking the antlers.  They were my Grandparents (the antlers, not the small children), so they have been around longer than I have... I will try to sneak a picture of the picture my mom has of my Grandma wearing the antlers too.  <3

Sushi & Star Wars

Also in early December, OG, dada and I met up with Ms. Chaundre for a late birthday/early Christmas sushi lunch...and an impromptu Star Wars party-turned-battle ensued!

Leave it to Ms. Chaundre to bring all sorts of fun stuff wherever she goes!  Had we known, we could have rocked some SW gear ourselves.  However...

OG wore:
-$5 graphic sweatshirt with rainbow heart (Target)
-Pencil pants
-Too much excitement for one young Padawan to contain

The usual "Here, take a picture with momma!" shot :)  I'm needy hehe

The face when you realize the lightsaber chopstick LIGHTS UP TOO!

Dada's belated b-day Wookie Coozy

Family <3

A battle is WAGED!

And now I shall leave you with a cliff-hanger. Who won the battle? Was the sushi delicious? Did we all walk down to Family Dollar after lunch?  YOU MAY NEVER KNOW!

LLAMA FACE!

Back to toddler fashion!

Flashback Wednesday (it's a thing, don't Google it...) to early December when Ms. OG's momma realized that Target had $5 GRAPHIC SWEATSHIRTS?!?! WHAAA??? It's true!

My favorite find was one in the "boys" section - mustard yellow, gray and a big ol' LLAMA FACE!

**Side-note: I love lovelovelove love lovelove the movie The Emperor's New Groove, so anything with llamas is an automatic WIN**

Sooo, without anymore delay....

LLAMA FACE! And a nerdy one, at that!

"Momma! Donald and I are gonna go now..."

"Run, Donald, run!"

And, because I love it so:
