17,520 Hours of OG

Yes, dearest reader(s), my little snuggle nugget has turned 2 years old.  24 months of OG being awesome at life. 730 days (give or take - she did sleep A LOT at first) of learning, laughing, smiling and adorable clothes!
Oh, and memories and junk. Those too. wink!

The Moms (you know, all of them) through history, say "take it all in - it goes fast" which is 100% true. However, thinking back to life pre-nugget seems like a lifetime ago. You might as well refer to it as 2014PN vs 2014AN (after-nugget).  It seems like yesterday she was just a baby, but also like she's been around as long as the Earth itself. It's weird. Being a mom is weird. Amazingly weird.

Anyhow, before I enter some philosophical plane of consciousness regarding parenthood, please join me in celebrating the amazing birthday of my sweet sugarbiscuit!

On OG's actual birthday, Dada and I took off work to have a family day and let OG do some rad birthday-y things.  She decided to wear a very low-key:
-Birthday Girl Shirt with 3-D Cupcake applique
-Colorful Heart Pants

Birthday breakfast at OG's favorite place

Mimi crashed breakfast and surprised OG with a bunch of little character balloons

OG then stabbed Mimi in the head with the balloons when Mimi was trying to get kisses - hehe

SO MANY FRIENDS! So little space...

We then took OG to the Aquarium for the first time!

Mickey balloon came with us, of course

Neon fishies
After all the excitement of the morning/afternoon, OG took a long napnap. Once she woke up, there was a wardrobe change before going to dinner at our favoirte local joint. OG wore:
-Rainbow Print T-Shirt
-Jeggins

OG making her own pizza (with a little help from Momma & Dada)
This is what really happened.

Finally getting the cheese ON the pizza

Planned for the Saturday after OG's birthday was the big party with friends and family.  For this event, OG picked out an outfit at Target (of course) a month or so in advance.  It's a very big deal, after all. :)
OG partied in:
-Minnie Mouse "Pretty Awesome" T-Shirt (Target)
-Purple GLITTER PANTS! (Target)
-Silver Sequined Headband (Hobby Lobby)
-Black & Teal Nike kicks (Once Upon a Child)

Ok, this isn't a picture of OG, but I was proud of these cupcakes. :)

She met a noise maker and loved it! (Grandma in the background)

COUSINS! And Dedi photobombing. :)

Weeeee!!! Balloons!!!

Playing with friends and balloons

Princess Alayna came to the party too!

Cupcake time!
Side-note: Headband is off AND Declan is about to barf all over his momma at this point.
Both signs of a good party, right?!

Declan's momma showing OG how it's done.

Trying this weird cake thingy...mmmm

Yep, I like this!

Cien!

Dearest Reader(s) and my beloved OG,

Before we continue onto our busy and exciting recap of all things NOVEMBER, I thought I would give a special shout-out to myself for sticking with this "toddler fashion blog" thingymabob for...yes, that's correct...100 POSTS!

Do I get an award? No? Ok, that's cool...but I have still managed to be inspired AND find the time to actually write 100 posts about my loving little nugget, my her fashion choices, our family/friends, and all of our wonderful memories over the last year.  High-fives to me. Plus, I also work and mother, so that's a pretty huge accomplishment. :)

AND...a special high-five to my one (known) dedicated reader and the other most-important-person-in-my-life, my love, my support, my funnybone - my husband. He's pretty rad, everyone.  He's also the best dad of all time, so yeah.  I'm a very lucky lady.

And and...what would the 100th post be without a quick little retrospective on the life and times of my main inspiration: My little Nugget Lovemuffin Edibly Smart and Hilarious Stinkface, Ms. OG.

Plus, I know you only come here for the photos (as confirmed by above-mentioned husband yesterday when his only comment re: my "Yikes! and My Apologies" post was: "Maybe you should put a picture at the end?"), so I figured I'd give you some photos.  :)

Surrounded by love, from then til now...

Pumpkins, Halloween and The Who-Is-Pebbles-Flintstone Conundrum

Bear with me for a moment, dearest reader(s), as I put the cart before the horse for a beat...

HOW DO GROWN PEOPLE (35+) NOT KNOW OF PEBBLES FLINTSTONE?!?! The youngest of the First Family of Bedrock?! I mean...

I digress, but only briefly.

Here is our Halloween wrap-up for 2016!

Pumpkin patch-ing while wearing:
-Our Who-Dey best!  It was game day, duhr.
With our devoted sidekick, Mickey...obviously.

OG picked out a cart and made sure Mickey had a seat...

Then was off to find the best pumpkin...

Winner!

She was very proud. :)

"Not now, Momma...I see pigs!"

Petting the donkey

Well, maybe not petting...but watching the donkey for sure.

That little white chicken was following OG around the whole coop - they were BFFs (Best Farm Friends)

It was a great day at the pumpkin patch!

Followed by....carving pumpkins!
OG (and the rest of us) were wearing:
-Our PJs

Decorating pumpkin #1

"Carving" pumpkin #2

Who gave this lady a sharp tool?! ;)

The final results!

Helping Dada carve his pumpkin (which never came to fruition)

OG's finished pumpkins!

Then...back to my rant from before...HALLOWEEN! Wherein, OG dressed as:
-Pebbles FlintStone riding a Dinosaur
...
-Which seems totally obvious to me BUT GROWN FOLKS HAD NO CLUE!
-"Oh, is she a dragon?" No.
-"Oh, how cute...a watermelon?" No.
-"Is she a genie?"  ...Wearing a dinosaur? No.

Pebbles. Flintstone.

This character:

Bone in hair? Check. Top? Check? Riding a dinosaur? Should be a dead give-away!

Cousins and Friend Ella posing before the big event.

I seriously almost ate her. She looked so stinking CUTE! But seriously, am I crazy?  Does she not look like Pebbles?

Getting into the swing of it!

The Safety Squad/Boring Adult Chaperones :)

Ok, ok...she DID ditch the dino near the end so she could book it from house to house with the big kids...
but STILL LOOKS LIKE (weather appropriate) PEBBLES!

C'mon people! I'm what you might call slightly over 30, and I know Pebbles...no excuses! :)
